Lately I've been reading an animation book called "The Animator's Survival Kit" written by Richard Williams, director of animation of "Who framed Roger Rabbit" because last term on university I did a 3D animation subject and I liked it so much that I thought I could go deeper into this amazing world. Since I hadn't any previous experience on handmade animations, I begun doing some walking sketches as explained on the book but left them for now because I had the urge to do something fast and funny with my favourite character (Sonic). So following the tips given on the book, I've begun to draw the keyframes and some inbetweens, and here's a preview. Of course there's still a lot of work to do, but you can catch the idea of what I'm trying to achieve.

I've tried to attach the official DA preloader to the .fla but it doesn't seem to work on my Flash CS3 (using AS 2.0, it's like it doesn't pick the loaded and total bytes correctly, dunno why), so I reccomend to download the file and play it on your computer, but let it play it completely once or you won't see the right speed of it. Sorry about the size, it's just a preview but I didn't have time to reduce it.

Tools used: 0.5 mechanical pencil, Adobe Flash CS3 Pro for the animation.

See you!

The animation's barely visible. Perhaps you should darken the brightness and contrast or fix the levels of the key frames.

Yes, you're right. I just didn't care very much because it was just a preview, but if you can't even watch it, there's no reason for it, isn't it? XD

I'll upload a new one as soon as I add some new frames, thanks for the advice!

you're welcome. Now, I've seen it, and it doesn't look all that bad. Just needs the frames to be darken so it can be seen better.
